What is Ethos A.I?

A developing local AI platform designed to run on supported personal hardware. It's being built around user control, privacy, and low recurring costs.

Is Ethos A.I available now?

No. It is currently under development and coming soon. No public release date has been announced.

Does Ethos A.I require a monthly subscription?

The current goal is a one-time purchase for core local operation, but final pricing and licensing have not been announced.

Can it work without internet?

Certain installed local features are designed to work offline. Internet research, downloads, updates, remote access, and external integrations still require connectivity.

Can Ethos A.I run 24/7?

It may run continuously while the host computer is powered on and operating safely. Electricity, cooling, and hardware maintenance still matter.

Can I take it anywhere?

A laptop installation can travel with the laptop. A server installation remains on the server, although secure remote access may be possible when properly configured.

Does it scan my entire computer?

No. It is designed around explicitly approved folders and collections — not automatic whole-disk scanning.

Is it completely private?

Local processing may improve control and reduce third-party data exposure, but security also depends on the computer, operating system, network, backups, passwords, updates, and user configuration.

What computers will it support?

Compatibility testing is still in progress. Final supported hardware has not been announced.

Can it help businesses?

Yes — it's being designed to assist with approved documents, organization, drafting, internal knowledge, and other productivity tasks. See the Business page.

Can it help students and teachers?

Yes — it may support learning, planning, approved educational documents, exercises, and instructional preparation. It should support responsible learning, not cheating. See Students and Teachers.

Can it help programmers and website developers?

It is being designed to support approved source code, explanations, debugging assistance, documentation, tests, and web development. See Developers.

Will it replace professional experts?

No. It should not replace legal, medical, financial, educational, cybersecurity, emergency, or other qualified professional judgment.

When will Ethos A.I launch?

No public launch date has been announced.

Who is behind Ethos A.I?
