Privacy Policy.
How this pre-launch website handles the small amount of information it touches — and what stays entirely outside of it.

Privacy Policy Contents
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled through the Ethos A.I pre-launch website at ethosai.dev. The Website is operated by Ethos A.I LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Idaho, United States. Ethos A.I is currently in development. There is no commercial software product available today, so this policy covers the Website itself, not a purchased product.
We aim to describe what the Website actually does today rather than what it might do in the future. When the software product becomes available, additional or updated privacy disclosures for that product will be published separately before it ships.
2. Information you provide
You can use most of this website without providing any personal information. When you do provide information, it is limited to the following situations.
Launch update signup (development placeholder)
The homepage includes a “Get Launch Updates” form that requests an email address and an optional first name. The form is currently a development placeholder: no backend is connected, and submissions are not stored or transmitted. The form validates input in the browser and shows a status message asking you to email us directly instead. Before this form is connected to a real backend, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe how signup information will be received, stored, retained, and eventually deleted.
Contact by email
The Contact page invites general inquiries to info.ethosai@gmail.com. If you choose to email that address, the message and any information you include in it will be received by the person operating that inbox. Please do not send passwords, API keys, cryptocurrency seed phrases, private medical, legal, or financial documents, or confidential business data by email — see the Contact page for the full guidance.
3. Technical information
This website is a static HTML/CSS/JavaScript site with no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no advertising trackers, no session recording, and no telemetry beacons embedded by Ethos A.I. As with virtually all websites, the hosting provider that serves the pages may write standard server-access logs (typically things like the requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status code, referring URL, IP address, and browser user-agent string) for the purposes of operating the service, generating aggregate traffic counts, and defending against abuse. These logs are handled by the hosting provider under its own policies.
5. Third-party services
The current site loads exactly one third-party resource:
-
Google Fonts — the Chakra Petch and Inter typefaces are
loaded from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com. When your browser requests those font files, Google is able to observe basic request metadata (such as your IP address and user-agent) associated with the request. Google's own privacy practices apply to that transfer.
There are no other third-party scripts, no analytics providers, no advertising networks, no chat widgets, no embedded video players, no social widgets, and no tag managers loaded by this website today.
6. Hosting
The website is designed to be served as static files from a hosting provider (for example, GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages). The hosting provider handles delivery of the files to your browser. Its own logs, DDoS protection, and security controls apply and are governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. The specific hosting provider(s) in use will be documented in this policy before commercial launch.
7. How information is used
Information received through the website is used only to:
- respond to inquiries you send us,
- operate and secure the website,
- improve the website's content and reliability,
- and, once the launch-update signup is connected to a real backend, to send you the launch updates you asked for.
Information you send us is not used for advertising, and there is currently no advertising-based business model planned.
9. Data retention
Because the launch-update form is a development placeholder that stores nothing, there is currently no signup data being retained by us. Email inquiries you send us are retained in the receiving inbox for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, after which they may be deleted. Hosting-provider access logs are retained under that provider's policies. When a real backend is connected to the launch-update form, a specific retention period will be published here.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to help protect the small amount of information the website handles, including serving pages over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet or storage on any system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim to be “100% private,” “unhackable,” or “impossible to access.” Please do not send sensitive information through ordinary email — see the Contact page.
11. Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the launch-update signup or contact channels described above. The launch-update signup is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
The Students and Teachers audience pages describe how Ethos A.I is being designed to help with school work in the future — those pages do not solicit student records, grades, school IDs, or other student personal information through this website.
12. Your choices
Because the launch-update signup is a placeholder that stores nothing, there is nothing to unsubscribe from today. Once a real backend is connected, every launch-update email will include an unsubscribe link, and additional choices (such as how to request access to or deletion of information you have provided) will be described here.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under applicable privacy laws — for example, to know what information is held about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy in a portable form. Detailed information on how to exercise those rights will be added here as the product develops. In the meantime, you may email info.ethosai@gmail.com with privacy questions.
13. Website data vs. future local software data
This is an important distinction. This Privacy Policy describes information handled through the website — for example, an email address you submit through a signup form, or an email you send us.
The future Ethos A.I software is being designed to run on hardware you control. Files and prompts you work with locally through the future software are separate from anything this website handles. Optional connected features, updates, research capabilities, integrations, or support functions in the future software may involve network connectivity and will be documented before that software is released. This Privacy Policy will be updated at that time to describe the software's specific data handling, and additional product-specific notices may be published.
Please do not assume that all future Ethos A.I data will always stay local, and please do not assume that information you submit through this website remains only on your computer — website submissions leave your computer to reach us.
14. Future Ethos A.I software
When the Ethos A.I software becomes available, a separate End-User License Agreement (EULA), product-specific privacy notice, and any applicable product-security documentation will be published before purchase or download. This section will be updated at that time to point at those documents.
15. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the website, applicable law, or the services we offer. When we update it, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. Continued use of the website after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
16. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to info.ethosai@gmail.com. A dedicated privacy contact address will be published here before commercial launch of the software product. Please avoid including sensitive information in ordinary email.
